One Shot is based on the 2005 Lee Child thriller of the same name about an ex-military investigator, Jack Reacher, who heads to the heartland to investigate the deaths of five people. Mr. Cruise is to play Reacher, with Rosamund Pike set to co-star. One Shot will be filmed in Pittsburgh through out the fall of 2011. Josh is currently working as the Paint Foreman. Paramount is expected to release One Shot in February 2013. |
The Avengers
| The Avengers is a superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based upon the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which crosses over several Marvel superhero films including Iron Man (2008), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011) and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey, Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans. Josh worked on The Avengers as the 2nd Unit paint charge in Pennsylvania and as the 2nd Unit on-set painter in Ohio. |
The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Josh worked as the paint charge on the upcoming feature film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, this past spring. What is most notable about this funny, touching, memorable first novel from Stephen Chbosky is the resounding accuracy with which the author captures the voice of a boy teetering on the brink of adulthood. Charlie is a freshman. And while's he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. He's a wallflower--shy and introspective, and intelligent beyond his years, if not very savvy in the social arts. Locke and Key
| Josh worked as a plasterer on the pilot for the TV series adaptation of Locke and Key which landed at 20th Century Fox Television. Produced by Dreamworks TV and K.O. Paper Products through the latter's deal with 20th Century Fox TV, Mark Romanek directed the pilot episode. Miranda Otto will star as Nina Locke, and Irish actress Sarah Bolger stars as Kinsey Locke. The pilot was filmed at a mansion at Hartwood Acres in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in early 2011. |
Super 8
| Josh worked as a set painter on "Super 8," a top secret J.J. Abrams - directed, Steven Spielberg - produced sci-fi project in Weirton, WV in the fall of 2010. |
I Am Number Four
| Nine alien teenagers and their guardians flee their home planet named Lorien and come to Earth to escape an enemy species, which follows them to Earth. The enemy species must kill the escaped aliens in sequence. The 'number four', named John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), hides out in Paradise, Ohio, disguised as an American high school student.
The film is actually based on a series of books (six in total), written by James Frey and Joby Hughes, that won't be out until Fall 2010. Alex Pettyfer got the lead role as Number 4. The cast also includes Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, Callan McAuliffe, and Jake Abel. The film should be released on February 18, 2011. Josh worked as a paint gang boss on the film I Am Number Four, which was filmed in Pittsburgh during the summer, 2010. |

Love and Other Drugs
| A salesman competes in the cutthroat world of pharmaceuticals to hawk a male performance enhancement drug. Based on Jamie Reidy's memoir "Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman." Josh was the paint foreman on the upcoming feature film, Love and Other Drugs, which was filmed in Pittsburgh in the fall of 2009. |
Shaq VS Ben Roethlisberger (TV)
| Shaq Vs., is an ABC reality show featuring the NBA big man. For his first challenge, he decided to try and run a football offense better than Ben Roethlisberger. Josh worked as a set painter for Shaq Vs. which was filmed at Ambridge Highschool in the summer, 2009. |

Justified (TV)
| Former Deadwood star Timothy Olyphant (Live Free or Die Hard / Hitman) is starring in a new FX pilot, says the Hollywood Reporter. The pilot is based on a short story by Elmore Leonard (Out of Sight / Get Shorty) called Fire in the Hole, and centers on a U.S. Marshal who returns to his hometown in Kentucky. Josh worked as a set painter on Justified in the spring, 2009. |
Warrior

Director Gavin O’Connor has cast Nick Nolte as the lead in his MMA centered film, Warrior. Nolte will play “an ex-Vietnam vet boxer-turned-steel mill worker whose family was torn apart by his alcoholism.” Nolte’s character is the father of two sons, both of whom he neglects when his life becomes consumed by alcohol. Once he gets sober and cleans up his act he and his youngest son (Tom Hardy) bond over mixed martial arts. He ends up training him to compete in an MMA tournament with the opponent being non other than his estranged older son (Joel Edgarton). O’Connor pulls double duty as director and co-writer of the film along with screenwriter Anthony Tambakis. Josh worked as a set painter during filming of Warrior in June, 2009. |
Three Rivers (TV)

CBS was given a greenlight for a pilot for Three Rivers created by Carol Barbee and will be Executive Produced by her as well as Curtis Hanson and Carol Fenelon. Three Rivers centers upon organ transplants, with each story told from the point of view of the doctor, the recipient and the donor. The Pilot was filmed in Pittsburgh in March, 2009 and Josh worked as a set painter. |

Sorority Row was filmed in Pittsburgh in October, 2008 and Josh worked as a set painter. A remake of the obscure '80's slasher The House on Sorority Row, Sorority Row is directed by Stewart Hendler and features The Hills star Audrina Patridge and Rumer Willis. |
The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelation
| BenderSpink and FilmEngine produced the third installment of the cult classic The Butterfly Effect along with After Dark Films, which will theatrically distribute the film as part of its After Dark Horrorfest "8 Films to Die For" series. The film marks the third original film created for Horrorfest that After Dark is producing and distributing theatrically. This film was shot in Detroit and Josh worked as a set painter. |
My Bloody Valentine 3D

But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine’s Day, he woke up…and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed. My Bloody Valentine was filmed in Pittsburgh during the summer, 2008. Josh worked as a set painter creating properly themed signage for shots in the grocery store and aged rock for shots in the coal mine. |
The Road

In the May 2008 New York Times, Alex Billington wrote, "If you know your cinema, you may vaguely recognize the name Cormac McCarthy. He's the brilliant author whose novel was the basis of the Oscar winning No Country for Old Men. One of McCarthy's other highly praised novels is The Road, which is being adapted this fall by up-and-coming filmmaker John Hillcoat of 2005's The Proposition. The Road is a post-apocalyptic story about a father and his son traveling to the coast in search of safety and rescue." The Road was partially filmed in Pittsburgh in the spring, 2008 and Josh worked as a set painter, aging various props, such the wagon shown left, for scenes in the movie. |
